Sophie has officially competed in the preliminary round of Miss International, where all 70+ finalists are assessed in Swimwear, Eveningwear, and Intelligence to determine who will advance to the Top 20.

For her Swimwear, Sophie strutted down the catwalk in her pale blue full swimsuit looking as incredible as ever! In Eveningwear, she wore a fully-sequined blue gown, with her signature faux fur shall. Sophie looked like a true Queen and presented herself excellently.

In the Intelligence round, Sophie spoke about her home city and how their motto is ‘People make Glasgow’. She explains the kindness and compassion she feels there, is exactly the same feeling she has had whilst in Japan – a warm welcome and outstanding hospitality.

She spoke about her initiative as Miss International UK, Helping Hats, through which she has provided more than 1,000 children living in poverty with warm hats.

“It’s through this initiative, and my pride for my country, that I stand here today, not only in celebration fof Japan, but as a reminder that compassion is unviersal and kindness has no boarders – and it’s through that legecay, I know that I can lead with pride, as you new Miss International.”

Before prelims began, Miss International UK director, Holly flew to Japan to surprise Sophie! She arrived with Iron Bru and shortbread to give our Queen a little taste of home whilst she is on this journey. Although Sophie has found friendship in her fellow contestants over the past couple of weeks, we know having that support from Holly means the world!

We are so incredibly proud of Sophie and are wishing her all the luck in the world ahead of the finals!
