Reigning Queen

Miss International UK

Alisha Cowie

Twenty-three-year-old Alisha Cowie, from Newcastle, was crowned Miss International UK in June 2023 at the glittering grand final at the Parr Hall Theatre, Warrington. Alisha is no stranger to the pageant stage. Alisha won Miss England in 2018 and went on to compete in Miss World, another of the top 4 pageants. She is now the only British beauty queen in recent times to have achieved such an accolade.

Alisha works as a model & photographer and is very passionate about fundraising and supporting charities.

Our Queen is an active fundraiser and volunteer. Since 2017, she has raised over £10,000 for causes close to her heart. Most notably, she has supported the charity, Papyrus, to raise awareness for the prevention of young suicide. Due to her outstanding work with the charity, she was named as their first, official ambassador. She also won the A-Sisterhood charity award at the Miss International UK finals which means that she will be travelling to India on a humanitarian visit with the organisation, to meet the women’s charities that it supports.

As part of Alisha’s prize package of winning the Miss International UK crown, she won herself a trip to Japan to compete in the Miss International final, one of the most prestigious beauty pageants in the world. We are so excited to follow Alisha’s reigning year – we know that she is going to be an incredible Queen!
