Reigning Queen

Miss International UK
Sophie Wallace
Sophie Wallace is a trailblazing journalist, broadcaster, PR manager and model who has spent the last decade paving the way for young women in the media. A former international display gymnast, she graduated with an Honours degree in Multimedia Journalism before quickly securing a job at one of Scotland’s biggest television broadcasters – making history as the youngest woman to ever present a flagship news programme in the United Kingdom.
Now a PR Manager at one of the country’s most celebrated agencies, she dedicates her time to amplifying the voices of communities who would often go overlooked. Her advocacy thus far has been one of storytelling, philanthropy, and community engagement. In 2023, she set up her own nonprofit called ‘Helping Hats’, which has so far supported more than 300 families living in fuel poverty in some of the UK’s most deprived areas.
A passionate campaigner for equality, she is also the founder of ‘The Empower Hour’, an initiative that seeks to address and eliminate the gender gap in the mainstream press. What’s more, she continues to work in close alignment with the organisation A-Sisterhood, raising funds to support charities that seek to protect, support, and empower women worldwide.
As part of Sophie’s prize package for winning the Miss International UK crown, she won herself a trip to Japan to compete in the Miss International final, one of the most prestigious beauty pageants in the world. We are so excited to follow Sophie’s reigning year – we know that she is going to be an incredible Queen!
